SWIMMING POOL

Members are reminded of pool use and our Club Byelaw – Section C and specifically :

d) All members using the pool, including Juniors aged 15 years and above, must have attended and passed within the last 3 years, the St. Johns Ambulance Resuscitation Class, the Club Resuscitation Class, or be the holder of a professional qualification or an equivalent qualification approved by the RYA. Evidence of qualification must be provided to the office for their records.

The office holds a file on our Medusa database recording this information.  Members are reminded to check the validity of their qualification. The Club Resuscitation Class is valid for 3 years.  Please check that you have a valid certificate or bring a copy into the office if you have not already provided a copy of your other qualification.

We may carry out spot checks to see that swimmers have this qualification so please ensure that yours is valid.

We run regular Resuscitation courses – please enquire at office.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

A wide variety of events are organised on behalf of members by the House Committee.

Popular annual events include the Summer Ball, Trafalgar Night Dinner, Regatta Party, Laying Up Supper and Christmas Party & Draw.  Visiting speakers, ladies' lunches and outings to interesting places add to the mix.

Junior members of the Club are catered for with Christmas parties, film evenings, quizzes and BBQs linked to special sailing events for children, as well as our new 'It's Knot Sailing' evenings.

Visit the homepage for details of up and coming events.

Booking for an event is easy.  Either contact Oliver, our Catering Manager, by email or phone him on 01243 373065. Alternatively, look at the noticeboard in the Club to see what's on and sign up in person.

If you have a skill or interest that you would like to share we would love to hear from you.  If you are new to the Club, come and make new friends.  If you are a 'regular' at Club events we look forward to seeing you.

If you would like to help out at any event please tell the office either by email or phone on 01243 372850, or contact me – my number is available from the Office and can be found in the Members' Area of the website and in the Club Programme.

Getting involved is an excellent way to meet new people and can be fun!
