Saturday 13 October 2018

Thank you very much to the over 50 volunteers who turned out on Saturday for our third and highly successful working party this year.  A whole host of jobs were done to ready the Club for the winter – in the dinghy park, packing the outside furniture up on the terrace, and seasonal tidying up.  The reward was a delicious pie & chips and a drink!

Many thanks to everyone who came and to Rob and June Lineham and Roger Palmer for helping to organise.

WORKING PARTIES take place in spring and autumn and involve two hours' work on a Saturday morning followed by Ollie's free lunch and a drink.  They are organised by the Rear Commodore Sailing, Robert Lineham.
Typical jobs include:

Seaweed clearing
Bonfire tending
Billet trimming
First aid box sorting
Table painting
Floor scrubbing
Grass mowing
Hedge trimming
Power wash handling

Please bring tools if you can –
garden shears, rakes, shovels, spades, brooms, wheelbarrows all welcome!
