Welcome to the Juniors section of the ESC website.
The Juniors are a busy and thriving part of the club and we offer many different opportunities to sail, race and have fun using the beautiful part of the harbour Emsworth occupies.
We have fleets of Optimists, RS Fevas, Toppers and Lasers, as well as a few 29ers and 420s.
Our Martlets programme is an organised and structured "learn to sail" programme, using Optimists, which runs each year from April to July. There are also opportunities to do the same in a consolidated week during the school holidays. These are run for Optimists and Fevas.
A highlight of the year is the Race Week which is held during the summer holidays. ESSC are also invited and we have keen racing for all abilities, together with numerous socials both on and off the water.
Another highlight during the year is our Cobnor Camp. A weekend in July for the Juniors and their families to camp, sail and explore the harbour.
There are a number of training opportunities which are held throughout the year; the Optimists have a winter training programme and the Fevas have a number of training weekends during the year.
Social events are held throughout the year for all the different age groups.
We have an active junior committee and a junior captain.
