Blake Fund for Young Sailors - update

Tom Hulton has completed his handover of the running of the Blake Fund for Young Sailors and I'd like to thank him personally for his 3 years of very hard work on behalf of the Fund, moving it forward in leaps and bounds! Tom both suggested and oversaw the implementation of the monthly lottery, which has been hugely successful - in just 2 years it has generated almost £7,000, split more or less 50:50 between prize money for lottery ticket holders and award monies for our junior sailors. What a fantastic legacy - very well done Tom!

Chris Clode has also decided that the time is right for him to step down as a Blake Fund Trustee, and again a huge thank you to Chris for his many years of help and support for the Fund.

The Blake Fund Trustees are now as follows - Pippa and James Blake, the 4 Flag Officers and our newest Trustees, Marcus Lawson, Barbara Langford and Douglas Peniston. Rest assured that the Fund is in very capable hands and we plan to continue the very good work of Tom and his predecessors in moving the Fund forwards to benefit as many of our juniors as possible.
