Billets News

We hope that many of you have been able to make the most of the good weather that we have been having this month and have been able to enjoy some time out on the water. There was a lot of activity in and around the Mountbatten Park over the long Easter weekend and mostly everything seemed to be operating quite smoothly. We did however notice one or two small issues as follows:

1. As reported previously, we have removed four billets from the front of the park to provide an additional gangway with the idea that this will make boat movement easier within the park and allow better access to the new washing down area. This additional gangway will only work if it is kept clear at all times so please do not leave your launching trolley or boat unattended there at any time.

2. A good number of billet holders have already attached their billet paid stickers to their boats. At the last count there were still more that 130 left in the sail store. If you haven't done so already please attach your sticker before the end of June otherwise you will find that you will be unable to renew your billet at the end of the year.

3. There are still quite a few masts laying across boats that have not been put up after the winter. If this applies to you, it would be really helpful if you could please put your mast up as soon as possible.

4. There is a billet at the top end of row B which is allocated for the storage of a few kayaks. It would be helpful if no boats are left in that area to allow access to those kayaks.

And finally, Cath and I will be heading off at the end of this week to walk the West Highland Way from Glasgow to Fort William so will be unable to answer any billet or mooring queries during the next fortnight. See you all next month when we will be bringing our tired legs back to Emsworth!
