Vacancy for Honorary Treasurer

Are you a qualified accountant with a few hours per week you would be willing to volunteer to support the Club?
The Club employs an experienced, qualified bookkeeper on a part-time basis who looks after the day-to-day invoice processing and the preparation of monthly management accounts for the General Committee and Flag Officer budget holders. We are seeking a Club member who is a qualified accountant to fulfil the role of Honorary Treasurer in support of the finance function of the Club. The role of the Honorary Treasurer is to support this activity offering guidance and advice as necessary as well as financial guidance to the Flag Officers and General Committee as appropriate.
In addition to ongoing ad hoc support to the finance function, the Honorary Treasurer will also attend monthly General Committee meetings as an ex-officio member to present the Club management accounts and report on progress against budget as well as quarterly Finance Committee meetings with Flag Officers and Trustees where the annual budget and unaudited accounts are prepared in more detail. The Honorary Treasurer will also play a part in the preparation and presentations at the Club's Annual General Meeting and Financial General Meeting in Autumn and Spring each year, respectively.
