    Change to swimming pool booking system

    As we continue to open up the Club, we want to make the pool more accessible to members, so please note that the following will be in place from, Sunday 30 May; There will be NO booking system for the pool between 10:30-19:00 daily. It'll be free swimming only between these times, from 19:00 users of the pool should not disturb those swimmers wishing to swim lengths uninterrupted (Bye-law C1). All

    Blake Fund Lottery

    The Trustees are delighted to announce that the winners in the May draw were Richard Williams, Pearl Muers and Tim Keeping. Lady Blake performed the draw with the Commodore as overseer. It took place in private due to the Covid restrictions, but at least the weather allowed us to use the terrace and we hope to be able to conduct the June draw "live" on Friday 2 July.     Wildlife Awareness Week 7- 13 June

    Wildlife and their habitats in and around Chichester Harbour are under constant pressure from factors such as climate change, development and disturbance from human activity. As sailors, paddle enthusiasts and those working in marine industries, we have a duty to protect wildlife and enhance the environment. We share the waters we use for our recreation with an amazing array of wildlife, and the presence of boats should not necessarily have to mean disturbance to them.

    First Final Straw, ESSC and ESC Beach Clean

    Sunday 30 May saw ESC join the Final Straw Foundation and ESSC for the first of hopefully many organized beach cleans. Thank you to Sue Slight for rallying the ESC group and to those ESC members who gave up their time to help. Most of this is from members leaving boating rubbish in the boat park.

    Car park new layout and improvement works

    As part of our drive to better control the use of the limited resource that is our Members Car Park, in addition to the checking and control of parking permits we are shortly introducing some physical changes to the layout of the car park.     Blake Fund for Young Sailors - update

    Tom Hulton has completed his handover of the running of the Blake Fund for Young Sailors and I'd like to thank him personally for his 3 years of very hard work on behalf of the Fund, moving it forward in leaps and bounds! Tom both suggested and oversaw the implementation of the monthly lottery, which has been hugely successful - in just 2 years it has generated almost £7,000, split more or less 50:50 between
