New Year's Day Walk & Brunch

NEW YEAR'S DAY WALK AND BRUNCH

The New Year's Day Walk this year will take us on a flat circuit of part of Stansted Forest. Distance is under four miles.

Be prepared for the going to be wet and muddy, so wellies or stout walking boots are essential. Bring walking poles if you have them as the ground can be slippery in parts.

If you bring a dog, it must be kept on a lead. There is one section of the walk which passes through a Conservation Area where dogs are not permitted. Those with dogs will have to take a (muddy) path which runs parallel to this section.

Meet at the car park on Broad Walk - about 500 yards on the left after passing the Sawmill. The map reference is 755112. Please arrive in time to start walking at 10:30 and as the car park can get quite busy, the sharing of cars is recommended.

We aim to finish by 12:00 to enable those having Brunch to drive back to the Club in time for 12:30.

Numbers for the walk are restricted to 40 people.
