Have You Spotted the Fish?
Keep an eye out for the new fish symbols that have appeared beside several drains around the club. They are there to highlight an important message: these drains connect directly to local waterways, so whatever goes into them can eventually reach the river and sea. Environmentally Responsible Sun Protection

While protecting ourselves from harmful UV radiation is essential, some sunscreen ingredients may also affect aquatic environments when they wash off into the water. Junior Regatta - 13 June
We are excited to be working towards Sailors for the Sea Clean Regatta accreditation at this weekend's Junior Regatta. The worldwide programme encourages sailing events to be as environmentally sustainable as possible through 20 Best Practices. Many of these practices are already well established at ESC, but the accreditation process has provided a valuable opportunity to review and improve what we do. More »

Scottish Islands Peaks Race
Douglas Peniston has just completed the Scottish Islands Peaks Race in his 34ft 1974 wooden classic, Polar Bear ( PB) , with fellow ESC members Mark Allerston and Tom Bowman, who have sailed together (or against each other) since the 1970 s.
