Guidelines for signing in guests
Members may introduce guests into the Club but those guests;
- must be accompanied by the member introducing them
- must be signed in at each visit using the Digital Guest book on the tablet located in the Wet Bar or Snug, or by scanning the QR code on the menus. Members can also sign their guests in retrospectively if they forget to do so whilst at the Club, by following this link
- may not use the swimming pool
- may not be introduced on more than six occasions in any one calendar year, or on more than two occasions in any seven days.
The following 'events' count towards a guest's six visits per calendar year and require sign-in via the Digital Guest Book;
- Visiting the Club for social drinks or meals in the Clubhouse/terrace/upper deck
- Ollie's carvery, Fish Night, Steak Night, Happy Hours and Friday drop-in coffee mornings, Ollie's mulled wine and mince pies.
The following events do not count towards a guest's six visits per calendar year and do not require sign-in via the Digital Guest Book;
- Events requiring ticket purchase via the website, e.g. Speaker Suppers, Quiz Nights, seasonal parties i.e. Pimm's, Charity Fizz Night, Trafalgar Night. Guests should be accompanied by a member during the event
- Community events held at the Club, e.g. Macmillan Coffee Morning
- Any Club function at the invitation of the Commodore
- Non-members who are guests at a private function hosted by an ESC member.
Members may not bring guests to Children on Water (COW) week.
Occasionally, the House Committee may make an event 'for ESC members only', e.g. if numbers are limited or if demand is expected to be high, but this will be clearly stated in the event description.
