A thriving Club community
Emsworth Sailing Club is proud to be full, with a waiting list of over 350 prospective members, but we never rest on our laurels we continue to listen, evolve and improve to meet the needs of our vibrant membership.
Our facilities include:
A dinghy park with nearly 400 billets
Spacious changing rooms
A welcoming clubhouse
Parking for nearly 100 vehicles
A solar-heated outdoor swimming pool (open in high season).
Ollie & Eloise Clift and their excellent team keep us well-fed and refreshed, while our dedicated office staff - Liz, Linzi and Ann - along with our hardworking committee members, ensure that the Club runs smoothly year-round.
Afloat
Led by Rear Commodore (Sailing), Nigel Chandler, and the Sailing Committee, our on-water programme includes:
Racing and social sailing
Adult and junior dinghy training
Powerboat instruction
Equipment hire: dinghies, SUPs, kayaks and windsurfers
Rowing, introduced in 2024 with our Celtic Longboat now a firm favourite!
Ashore
Our Rear Commodore (House), Emma Gardiner, and the House Committee continue to organise a wide range of off-water events including:
Suppers, talks and quizzes
Mahjong and bridge club
Coffee mornings and "Nosh & Natter" lunches
Discos and themed parties.
These events complement our on-water activities and help bring members together throughout the year.
Around the grounds
Vice Commodore, Debs Owen-Ellis, and the Estates Committee work tirelessly to maintain and improve our facilities - updating, repairing, decorating, and enhancing every corner of the Club to ensure that it remains the pride of the harbour.
Staying connected
Clear communication is key. Our Weekly Roundup email and this website are your primary sources of Club information. You can even sync the ESC programme with your personal calendar to stay fully up to date.
Volunteering at ESC
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Club. We're fortunate to have an extraordinary pool of talent within our membership. If you'd like to get involved, regularly or occasionally, please contact the office: membership@emsworthsc.org.uk telephone 01243 372850
Join in, afloat or ashore
Whatever your age or interests, we aim to offer a full range of activities to keep you engaged and enjoying Club life. Whether you're racing competitively, cruising with friends, attending a talk, or simply relaxing with a drink and a great view, there's a place for you at ESC.
