Upcoming RYA training

** New Wingsurfing**

Week commencing 17 August

We are very excited to be able to offer club members the chance of some wingsurfing instruction. Initially are offering Junior beginner sessions for those 11+ and some adult sessions too. There is a whole RYA scheme of levels and stages and if there is enough interest, we may be able to extend our offering. Tuition will take place in the Millpond using club equipment. Please note that this is Wingsurfing - and not Wingfoiling.

RYA Dinghy training

There will be an RYA Stage 2 running over various weekends in September - more information for booking next week.

I am also hoping to be able to offer some Adult training in the autumn again more information will be available soon.

RYA Powerboat training

Learning to Powerboat with our experienced team on the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is enjoyable. We offer a safe, fun, and friendly environment for beginners to learn the Powerboat essentials. We will cover boat handling, safety equipment, launching, and water safety. Learners gain hands-on experience while building confidence.

The courses for the rest of the year are:

10-11 October 1 place remaining

24-25 October 3 places

14-15 November 2 places

12-13 December 3 places

RYA Safety Boat 31 October - 1 November

The RYA Safety Boat course is a practical, two day programme that covers advanced boat handling, rescue techniques, towing methods and more allowing you to feel confident that you have the skills to act as patrol boat for all club activities. ESC powerboat familiarisation sessions

Got your RYA PB2 elsewhere? Or just want a confidence boost and a recap on ESC-specific procedures before you sign up for a duty? We are running a number of weekday and weekend sessions to get you comfortable handling our club boats. More dates will be available soon, and more information will be available in the Weekly roundup once they are confirmed.

RYA Race Coach Level 2 14 - 15 November

This intensive two-day course looks at different areas of coaching and how to apply coaching skills in a practical series of on-the-water exercises. The course aims to provide candidates with techniques to coach racing to youth and adult sailors safely. RYA First Aid 7 November

A one-day course designed to provide essential first aid skills for those who spend time afloat. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat or who just wants a comprehensive first aid course. For further information and to book visit here
