Rowing Taster Session
This taster session is split into 2 x 1 hour segments, please book either 13:30 to 14:30 or 14:30 to 15:30
The first taster session to allow you to see what coastal rowing feels like and for those that are coordinating rowing to meet you. The taster sessions are therefore open to both novices and more experienced oarsmen and women. Once you have had a taster and assuming that you want to continue to row, you will be invited to join a WhatsApp group of ESC rowers and also be enabled to book rowing slots through the website.
There are no kit requirements for rowing. But please dress for the weather. Layers that can be removed when you are rowing (including hat if you wish). Leggings/outdoor trousers are fine and wellies or trainers on your feet. I recommend wearing sailing gloves if you have them to give your hands a bit of extra protection. We will be embarking/disembarking from the ESC pontoons so please wear a lifejacket/buoyancy aid - there is no requirement (other than the cox and passenger) to wear a lifejacket while rowing, but you are very welcome to do so (you will not be able to row in a buoyancy aid, although this will be fine for embarkation/disembarkation). Bring a bottle with some water/juice.
