RYA Stage 2 (June A-C)

Required experience - ideally RYA Stage 1
Minimum duration - total of 16 hours, 4 sessions of 4 hours
Minimum age - 7 years of age or school year 2
Content - Improved sailing skills on all points of sail. Tacking, gybing, ropework and collision avoidance
Certificate issuing criteria - Building confidence sailing, tacking, gybing and improving boat control and speed
Format - Afloat on the Millpond, in an Optimist. Own boat required including short dagger board. Club Optimist available to hire via the website, on a first come basis. Club Optimists available to hire (on first come basis) via the website here
