RYA Yacht Masters Course

RYA Yacht Master, the aim of the course is to provide the necessary background knowledge to skipper a yacht (sail or power) on coastal passages by day & night. It covers position fixing, course shaping and plotting, tidal knowledge, use of almanacs and admiralty publications, electronic position finding equipment, taking and interpreting forecasts, plotting weather systems, weather predictions using a barometer. A thorough understanding of all elements of the Day Skipper theory is a pre-requisite for this course.

The course requires 50 hours of tuition and will run on Thursday of each week from 19 January to end of March and will also include the weekend the end of January. The cost is £375 pp
