Diana was Head Guide at Highclere Castle for 17 years, seat of the 8th Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, one of the finest stately homes in England, and now famous world-wide as 'the real Downton Abbey'. From its 14th century origins as a palace of the Lord Chancellor of England, through the 5th Earl's discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun, up to her day to day experience working with the stars and the film crew, Diana's stunning visual presentations and anecdotes bring to life the remarkable parallels between the real life history of the Castle and its people and the fictional stories of the hit TV series. The team of some fifty guides is responsible for welcoming visitors to the Castle, including distinguished visitors from across the world, as well as the thousands of people who come during public opening time.
