Trafalgar Night Dinner
ESC will celebrate Trafalgar night in the traditional manner on 22 October. This day on 21st October 1805 that the Royal Navy won a decisive victory over the combined fleets of the French and Spanish Navies that set the course of European history, but Admiral Lord Nelson died in the battle.
The dinner is formal event but always very lively and a lot of fun, with singing of sea shanties led by the Royal Marines Director of Music and a short but entertaining speech, and of course an excellent 4 course dinner. It will be particular poignant this year as we toast our new King.
The guest of honour and speaker this year is Vice Admiral Paul Bennett CB OBE.
