Race to Scotland - Ken Fowler

This talk is for sailors and non-sailors of all ages interested in one man's adventure sailing an RS Aero from Lands End to John O'Groats!

Ken has undertaken a number of charity cycling challenges over the years but in 2017 he decided to sail the length of Britain, south to north, in a dinghy smaller than two bathtubs! To add to the challenge he had to complete this epic journey against the clock and get to John O'Groats before his annual leave allowance ran out!

Along the way he took on the third largest whirlpool in the world at Corryvreckan, shared hours with seals and dolphins flanking the boat and was showered in sunshine as well as being battered by wind and rain. In the process he raised tens of thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK and his local hospice trust.
