Following the Prime Minister's announcement on Monday 22 February, we can now begin to plan our return to normal Club life. We will be following the RYA's guidance (below) but in summary this is how we will start re-opening our Club:

SAILING

From Monday 8 March you will be able to access your dinghy/kayak/SUP from the dinghy park and launch from the beach. Current single household, travel and exercise only rules apply.

From Monday 29 March you will be able to launch your dinghy/kayak/SUP from the dinghy park or the terrace.

From Monday 29 March you will be able to access any boat stored in the car park to prepare if for launching, prior to then only essential maintenance to prevent any damage, injury or harm is permitted.

RACING

Racing will resume from Monday 29 March but mixed household guidance will still apply.

TRAINING

Our training activities will resume from Monday 29 March but mixed household guidance will still apply.

CHANGING ROOMS

The changing rooms will open no earlier than Monday 12 April.

From Monday 29 March the toilets in the changing rooms will re-open.

OUTDOOR BAR AND FOOD

From Monday 12 April, outdoor hospitality will be allowed, with the rule of six still applying, i.e. 6 members from multiple households or two households can meet outdoors. We will be opening the Wet Bar for food & drinks on the terrace. Debs and the House Committee will give further clarification nearer the time.

RESTAURANT

Restrictions on indoor hospitality will be lifted on Monday 17 May, after which the Club will resume its scheduled catering programme. Keep an eye on the Weekly Roundup and the website for up to date information.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

Our indoor 2021 social programme will resume from Monday 17 May. Keep an eye on the Weekly Roundup and the website for up to date information.

GET YOURSELVES READY FOR MONDAY 29 MARCH

  1. Make sure your boats are ready to go and any dues have been paid
  2. Make sure YOU are ready to go, i.e. your kit still fits and your buoyancy aid is in one piece
  3. If you haven't already signed up for a duty, please do so before the cut off date of Sunday 28 March, after which you will be allocated a duty. Click here to sign up. We will be contacting those of you who had very kindly signed up for 28 March, to rearrange.
  4. We are all very excited about the restrictions being lifted, but we must continue to abide by the rules until then. We are opening up the Club in a safe and controlled manner, and ask all our members to help by adhering to the guidelines and staying safe.

Please keep an eye on the Weekly Roundup and the website for more information. We look forward to seeing you back at the Club very soon!
