COW week - 2026 » COW week 4

The aim of Children on Water (COW) week is to bring junior sailors of all ages together to consolidate sailing skills and boost confidence, whilst going on picnics and exploring the harbour. Older juniors help encourage the younger sailors using the skills they have gained at the Club. It is a week which we hope will be enjoyed by all members and an opportunity to enhance our juniors' sailing experience and strengthen friendships.

Parents are expected to provide shore and safety boat cover (PB2 qualification required) during the week.

For juniors, parents/guardians are responsible for deciding if their child should race. They should assess the sailor's skill, the weather conditions, and whether the sailor can right the boat unaided. Parents/guardians must also ensure that the boat is properly rigged for both the conditions and the sailor's ability.
