Simon Curwen and the Golden Globe Race 2022 - Thursday 24 June, 19:00hrs

On 4 September 2022, Simon Curwen, an experienced and competitive sailor and one of only 7 British entrants in the Golden Globe Race 2022, will set out from Les Sables d'Olonne on the third edition of this famous race, a sporting challenge that is incomparable in many ways. Simon's illustrated talk will describe the Golden Globe Race 2022, via Zoom from France where he's in preparations for a lifelong ambition to race around the world in his sloop-rigged Biscay 36, Clara, built in Simon's UK hometown base of Emsworth. Following the Presentation, one of Ollie's superb dinners will be served. Sign up early to ensure a place at this exciting evening at the Club!

Important information relating to booking. The rule of 6 or 2 different households and social distancing still applies in the Club house. These groups need to be pre-arranged by members, as the office and Ollie's team are not allowed to assemble the groups. This means you need to gather your friends into a group of 6 or two households and then one person from each group makes the table booking on each group's behalf.
