Welcome to the social sailing page
The way I see social sailing is - it's a relaxed, non competitive time on the water with rescue boat back up.
There's plenty of racing opportunities at the club - this is not one of them!
The sails are planned for midweek, and it's up to you to be as sociable as you like!
We might stop for a snack break as the weather warms up, sail to the pub or a club, but always meet up afterwards for drinks/snacks at the club.
-When it says" rigged and ready", that means launch your boat! So please allow yourself at least 1/2 hr before the start time to get organised - We'll sign on and off in the usual way and if you want to leave a session or stay out longer, just let the rescue boat know
- you can use the club boats for free, but please ensure you've had instruction and know what you re doing, this is not a sailing lesson
- lastly, I intend to meet-up whatever the weather, howling gale means hot chocolate and drinks, - flat calm - means swim, paddle boards, kayaks and drinks See you on the water!
