We are hugely looking forward to the 2021 season and to everybody being able to enjoy Club activities once again, in a COVID-secure setting of course. As ESC membership runs from 1 January to 31 December those who have not yet renewed are now lapsed members. You will have lost functionality to book online and volunteer for the duties of your choice (this functionality will return instantly upon renewal and you will still be able to access the members area to renew). If you have not done so already, please take this last opportunity to renew your ESC membership for 2021 and arrange payment of your annual subscription, along with any billets/moorings. Please do this by 31^st January to avoid a financial penalty. There is a very long waiting list to join the Club, so if you have decided NOT to renew your membership, please email membership@emsworthsc.org.uk at the soonest opportunity so that we can inform prospective members that there is space for them to join. Please find below the instructions on this two-stage process to ensure you are correctly invoiced, even if you have already registered for GoCardless. Please note, only the bill payer needs to complete these steps. The registered bill payer will have visibility of the renewal options by logging into the 'Members' Area' and selecting 'Renewals'.

Stage 1)

Inform ESC, by following the instructions below, whether you will be renewing your membership and billets/moorings. If you are resigning your membership, please let me know by replying to this email. Instructions below.

Stage 2)

To arrange payment of your invoice, choose whether to pay by GoCardless (our preference) or another payment method to be received by 31 January 2021 (avoiding cash/cheque) by following the instructions below.

Instructions for renewing your membership via the Members' Area

You will need to log in to the Members' Area using the email address registered with the Club. If you have forgotten your password, please press the 'Forgotten Password' link on the log in screen and a new password will be sent to your registered email address.

Stage 1) Instructions

This can be completed prior to making a payment so please complete this renewal stage at the soonest opportunity!

Renewing membership and billets/moorings

• Log into the Members' area and select 'Renew' on the right hand side menu.
• Select the items (including billets/moorings) you wish to renew for 2021 by pressing 'Renew this membership'.
• At the bottom of the screen, press the 'Renew Selected' button (this does not equate to payment).
• On the next screen press 'Confirm Choices'.

Stage 2) Instructions

You will then see the invoice which provides options for payment:

• GoCardless - select 'Authorise For Payment with GoCardless' (funds will not be deducted until 31 January 2021)
• PayPal (or credit/debit cards) - set up the payment
• Bank Transfer - make separate arrangements for payment using the ESC bank details on the invoice by no later than 31 January. Please quote your invoice number as a reference.

By selecting 'GoCardless' as the payment method, funds, will not be taken from your bank account until 31st January 2021 (ESC's preferred method). Deadline for all payments is 31st January 2021 (to avoid a penalty payment).
