We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and would like to extend our most heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family at this time of national mourning.

In this period of national mourning, the events that have taken place, or are due to take place, are doing so in a low-key manner and in line with the guidelines that similar organisations are following.

All events due to take place during this 10-day period have been discussed at length, taking into account the nature of the event, the number of people involved in its organisation, and whether it is feasible to find an alternative date. We hope that we have struck the right balance.

On Monday 19 September, the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be shown in the North Room, should members wish to come to the Club to watch it. The bar will be open for hot and cold soft drinks and alcoholic drinks, but food will not be available. The Club will be closed from approximately 14:00 hours.
