Tales from the Archives - The ESC RNLI Pursuit Race

The traditional start of the season is Good Friday with the RNLI Pennant pursuit race. With the closure of the Club we were unable to compete, but we thought it would be fun to look back at previous winners of this race.

Inaugurated in 1995, with the winner receiving an RNLI burgee, the race raises funds for the RNLI. A pursuit race is where the slowest boats start first, and then in intervals till the fastest boats - the idea being that all should finish at the same time.
