Financial General Meeting results

The ESC 2022 Financial General Meeting (FinGM) took place on Sunday 8 May at 15:00 hours. 53 members registered to attend, either in-person at the Club or online via Zoom.

There were 4 tabled items/motions:

1. The 2021 AGM minutes were approved and will be posted in the corresponding folder in the Members Area/Club documents

2. The 2021 accounts were approved and can be found in the 2022 FinGM folder in the Members Area/Club documents

3. After debate, Motion 3 was withdrawn pending further discussion.

"Proposed by the General Committee. Proposed Rule 18: All Ordinary members are required to carry out two voluntary duties per year. Duties will be available to suit all skills, competence, and physical needs."

4. After debate Motion 4 was withdrawn pending further discussion.

"Proposed by John Williams, seconded by Ade Fox. That the following paragraph be added to Rule 37;

37(f) The Committee shall ensure the keeping of records in a single dedicated archive to enable the Club in future to readily:

(i) Refer to legal commitments and entitlements;

(ii) Access important documents relating to its management, staff and operations and the maintenance of its property;

(iii) Assist research into matters of historical interest."
