The Historic Records Group needs you!

Can you help to look after the Club's history? The Historical Records Group (HRG) is appealing for volunteers to help maintain our collection of historical documents, photos and current records, both digital and on paper.
Did you enjoy, during our centenary year, seeing the exhibition showing how the Club - and sailing - had evolved over the years? It was made possible by the fact that many paper documents and photographs had been saved from disposal, classified and looked after by the Club's Historical Records Group.
The team of John, Ade, Don, Hester and Dennis have had great fun poring over old club documents but today we live in a different world where most new data is held digitally. If we are to continue to be able to track how the club has moved on we need to adapt to that situation. That means collecting the information from its various sources, assessing it, and saving that which is likely to be of interest in the Club's archives so that it remains accessible in the future.
The Club now needs volunteers who are willing to join the HRG to help with this. If you would be interested in being part of the team recording its ongoing story for future generations please contact John Williams or Adrian Fox, who will be able to give you more information about what would be involved. You would be able to devote as much, or as little, time to it as you wished.
