Lets get making! Our 'Borrow Bag' Challenge set by Final Straw.
1st Thursday of each month.
Are you crafty, or would like a chat and some fun? Then come and join us for the afternoon, making 'Borrow Bags' to be distributed around the community.
The Final Straw Foundation has set ESC a target of making 250 bags. Joining this initiative is part of our commitment to address the environmental challenges we face globally, by doing what we can to reduce waste, recycle and reuse.
If you have a sewing machine, scissors or cutting mat (or anything else that will be useful) then please bring these with you.
All machines will be PAT tested and labelled to ensure we are H&S safe.
No sewing or making experience is needed. Friends and family are welcome to accompany you.
Anybody who has spare material which can be recycled into a bag, please bring this with you, and ask your friends for any spare fabric. If you aren't able to come and make but have fabric to donate, please drop this off with the office team. if we get bolts and bolts of fabric, Liz and the team may stop taking donations!
No need to book, just turn up and join in.
