We are very pleased to welcome Jo Cox, Harbour Master for Chichester Harbour, to come and talk to us about her career spanning 23 years. Her childhood was spent racing toppers and lasers and she developed a love of offshore racing after a 2 week trip on the Sail Training Association (STA) schooner the Sir Winston Churchill.

Jo has worked extensively on research ships in the Antarctic, ashore in South Georgia in the role of Government Officer, command of Royal Research ship Discovery, 2 years onboard Isle of Wight Ferries, then finally the transition to Harbour Master in the Falklands and finally to Chichester. So a very wide, varied and unconventional journey to Chichester Harbour! Jo will also run through the main functions of her current role and her plans for the next 12 months.
