Chichester Harbour Federation Race Week 2023

This year, Race Week is on from 14 to 18 August with the usual 5-day programme of fleets and racing, run by volunteers from across the harbour's sailing clubs. We've received the following request for help from the Race Week committee.

Our wonderful Race Week is run by volunteers, many who have undertaken multiple years to give so many people an excellent week's racing. For those running the Week it is a challenging but also extremely rewarding and a satisfying event to be involved with. On top of this, you not only get to hone new skills but it also an extremely sociable week where you get to meet lots of new faces from the sailing clubs around our wonderful harbour.

We do get some natural volunteer turnover over time, and we would like to ask if there is anyone who would like to fill these following roles? The commitment is the full 5 days and in 2023 is 14-18 August.

Race Officer Series B requires a Race Officer or an Assistant Race Officer who can be mentored to run the fleet next year (19-23 August, 2024) and thereafter.

Mark Layer our unsung heroes without whom the racing would not meet the exacting requirements. Training and mentoring are available but a good understanding of racing is required.

Other roles there are many other roles both on water and off the water, so please register interest if you have not done so already and we will be in touch.
