Next steps for opening up the Club
Published 15:50 on 8 Jul 2020
We are pleased to announce further relaxing of restrictions on the Club and bar and dining in accordance with government guidelines. We hope to entice members back into the habit of enjoying Ollie's excellent food and drink! This weekend the tides are great and the weather looks set fair so come on down, have a sail and support this great service.
- From
Thursday 9 July the wet bar will be open to allow members to purchase drinks
and bar food.
Bar
hours and the menu are available on the website...
- Ordering - To order drinks or food, please enter the wet bar via the rear single door using the queue system marked. You will be called into the wet bar as a space becomes available at the bar. Only 2 members are allowed in the wet bar at any one time.
- To ease queuing please ensure that only 1 member of your group goes to the bar and no children.
- Exit the wet bar via the double doors.
- No drinking or eating is permitted inside the Clubhouse.
- Upper Deck - Only 1 person is permitted on the stairs at any one time.
- Food ordered will be delivered to the table outside the wet bar for Members to collect as they are called on the microphone system.
- A clearing table with sanitisers will be outside the double doors. Members are asked to help Ollie's team by clearing their tables after they have finished and using the appropriate bins on the terrace.
- Payment at the bar is either by ESC member's card or a bank card - no cash is accepted. Cards can be topped up at the bar.
- Screens and PPE - Plastic screens have been installed in the wet bar.and staff members may be wearing PPE to protect you and themselves.
- Guests - as numbers are restricted, we request that members do not bring guests to the Club until we are fully open again.
- Picnics - see club bylaw for details but please support Ollie's business when he is open!
- Bags - As the changing rooms are closed, we would request that members do not leave bags around doors and walkways. There is plenty of room on the terrace that is not in the way of others.
- Toilets and changing - please do not change in the toilets but go home to change.
- Entry - Members should enter the Club via the main gates. Our access system will record members and this can be used if we have to "track and trace".
- For opening times please follow this link.
Thank you for all your help and co-operation in supporting the slow, but safe gradual re-opening post lockdown.
This is a trial and its success depends on members following the guidelines
