Hello from the Commodore

In spite of having to close the Club last week, you won't be at all surprised to know that there is still much going on behind the scenes:
The office is still functioning as normally as possible - Liz and Victoria are manning it Monday-Saturday but one at a time. You can still email them as usual and if the office is empty, emails and phone messages will be picked up remotely.
Ollie is working hard to offer a great range of takeaway food, so please support him and get ordering!
Tim, Craig and Debs are all busy finalising the composition of their committees (Estates, Sailing and House respectively), and together we are welcoming the new General Committee members, putting together our budgets for 2021, and thinking about how we, along with all the Club's fantastic committee members and volunteers, can make the Club the best that it can be, ready for when we reopen.
We are using this time to continue and complete the numerous projects started this year, many of which won't affect your enjoyment of the Club, but will make our processes more efficient and with luck, your lives a little easier.
You will soon be receiving a Member Survey asking you what you want from the Club and how we can make it better for you - do please take the time to complete it, so that we can improve the programme and facilities wherever we can.
Thank you so much for your continued patience and let's hope that we can resume some sort of activity at ESC early in December.
