ESC is the first club to achieve Bronze RYA Green Blue Certificate

Exciting news!

I'm delighted to let you know that the Final Straw Foundation and the RYA Green Blue have announced that the first sailing club to achieve the bronze certification award in their Single Use Plastic Free Accreditation, is Emsworth Sailing Club. This is a fantastic achievement!

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this happen - Ollie and his team, Debs Owen-Ellis Clark and the House Committee, and ESC's Environment Lead, Bianca Carr.

Since its launch, more than 40 businesses, clubs and marinas have signed up to commit to reducing their reliance on single use plastics and ESC is the first sailing club to have successfully completed all of the bronze level actions. All of the ESC committees are currently planning their environmental/ green targets for 2022 and you'll see these in the updated Environmental Action Plan on the website shortly. Let's keep up the great work.
