Estates activities - line painting

A couple of weeks ago few of the Estates working group cracked open the paint pots and spruced up the lines in the Club car park. Here follows a note from Harry Thuillier I thought would make you chuckle. No volunteers were harmed during this gathering. They maintained their distance, did their daily exercise and we now have bright shiny lines all over the car park.

Very many thanks to the intrepid band of volunteers who allowed us to complete this task today.

Thanks to:

Max for deciding he didn't want to sweep, but decided he wanted to fill in the large hole by the sign, which he did!

Liz for letting Max into the Sailing club so he could rescue some cement.

Kyrle, chief paint agitator and line marker.

Roger who gave everyone some advice, and was very helpful in moving a boat.

Dave who lifted up the whole front end of the boat on his own, when I couldn't even move it.

Alan who swept the lines most diligently keeping about 5m away from everyone.

Adrian, who was there in spirit.

Whoever ordered the paint back in 2017, which is now so solid that even Kyrle, who shook it 500+ times, couldn't free it up!

There is a little more painting to be done, where the boats are covering the lines, but it is 90% there now. And as I said to Jane, the hole is now filled too. Good job!

Thank you to everyone!

Best

Harry
